Today, fans of Google’s series of Chromebooks can rejoice as the Acer C7 will be hitting store shelves on November 13th for an incredibly low price of just $199. While Chromebooks have been slow to take off, aggressive price points, and heavy in-store marketing should help raise awareness (or at least that is what Google is hoping for) of the young platform.
For just $199 consumers will be able to pick up the Intel Celeron powered Acer C7, with 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 320GB HDD, integrated webcam and a 11.6 inch screen. While this laptop will not set the world on fire in terms of overall performance, its quick 18 second boot up time, and its ability to take advantage of Google’s cloud based services such as Google Drive, Gmail. and Google Calenders make it an ideal companion for students or for those who just need to browse the web, create documents, or play browser based games.
If you are a big fan of Google and its cloud based services, and you are in the market for a cheap laptop, you may want to consider picking up an Acer C7 Chromebook. The C7 is available from the Google Play Store, Best Buy and Bestbuy.com for $199.
