We all know the up and down history of Video Game films, but with the success of Wreck-It Ralph faith has been renewed enough that now there is a lot of hype for an Assassin´s Creed Film.

According to Gamespot and Ubisoft, The Assassin’s Creed movie will hit theaters in 2013.

This news follows Ubisoft’s announcement last month that the publisher had “fast-tracked” the film through a partnership with New Regency. Ubisoft’s deal with New Regency allows the game maker to maintain control of “key elements” of the film’s creative direction.

The Assassin’s Creed movie will star Michael Fassbender, who played major roles in Inglourious Basterds and the wonderful film X-Men First Class. No additional cast members, director, or producers have been announced for the movie.
