Navy SEALs Punished For Consulting On EA Game

Seven Navy SEALs from the SEAL Team Six unit are in big trouble due to Medal of Honor Warfighter. Said Navy SEALs were some of the two dozen active and inactive operatives payed by Electronic Arts to be consultants for Warfighter. The seven had their pay cut in half for two months and were sent letters of reprimand.

The Pentagon is punishing these Navy Seals because they have disclosed classified information, such as showing EA equipment unique to that unit, without prior permission from the U.S. government.

Deputy Commander, Rear ADM. Garry Bonelli released a statement about the situation:

We do not tolerate deviations from the policies that govern who we are and what we do as sailors in the United States Navy. Bonelli says that the punishment “sends a clear message throughout our force that we are and will be held to a high standard of accountability.
