GotGame Daily News Update: Halo 4 And More (Mainly Halo 4)

by on November 6, 2012

Welcome to the GotGame Daily News Update. Today is Tuesday, November 6th, 2012.

First a quick update about Borderlands 2 for the xbox 360. The game was updated to prevent data loss caused by a third party program exploiting the system. Can’t there be an update for game companies so they don’t exploit consumers?

Today is Election day. Or as you all know it: Halo 4 launches today. So go on down and get your copy of Halo 4 and play it and DON’T VOTE, if you’re voting for the wrong candidate. Along with Halo 4’s launch comes even more news.

Last week it was said that any sexism on Halo 4 online would ban the gamer for life, which was later denied by Microsoft in a call with Destructoid’s Jim Sterling. Microsoft said that “While Xbox Live indeed does not condone harassment of any kind, account and console bans are issued based on a robust complaint and evidence-based system. There is no difference in the Xbox Live Terms of Use and Code of Conduct for Halo 4.”

Speaking of which Halo 4 multiplayer is having issues of its own. Server availability for competitive matches and Spartan ops is plaguing day one adopters. And you thought that buying new things on day one was trendy. Did you not see this coming?

Also, redneck and white trash attractant Wal-Mart is selling Halo 4 pre-order DLC cheaper than any other places. The price? $5 measley dollars. Maybe they outsourced some jobs somewhere along the line of people that had to coordinate that deal.

One last thing about Halo 4: it won’t be on PC. Too bad gamers, like a certain candidate thinks that he can run the country by greed, Microsoft thinks they can run the gaming industry by greed as well.

Last but not least it seems that Microsoft might be developing an XBOX Surface tablet. Oh great, Microsoft has gone MAD with tablet frenzy. They must be truly desperate to beat Apple and from what I hear Windows 8 isn’t that great. If you care though the XBOX tablet is rumored to have 1280×720 resolution, a custom ARM processor, and an altered version of Windows. Obviously it’s main purpose will be for gaming. Wonderful, yet another expensive useless pile of metal to buy on top of your already expensive useless pile of metal you use for gaming.

That’s it for your GotGame Daily News update for November 6th, 2012.
