Former GameStop PR Head Admits To Stealing From Company
GameStop’s head of corporate communication and public affairs, Chris Olivera, plead guilty to one charge of mail fraud. Olivera, who GameStop terminated about a year ago according to a GameStop spokesperson, took money and poured it into a fake business in Nevada called Cloud Communications LLC. This money was then put back into Olivera’s own bank account. The total amount embezzled was around $2 million from July 2009 to April 2011.
