Rockstar Hit by Sandy, Delays Release of ‘GTA V’ Trailer
Amongst the destruction Hurricane Sandy has caused on the Northeastern Shoreboard, it has also knocked out power at Rockstar Studios. An update on the studio’s site confirmed that Sandy blacked out their New York offices, and as such, the planned second trailer for Grand Theft Auto V is not yet ready to be released.
“We are working on a second trailer – unfortunately Hurricane Sandy has derailed our plans somewhat but we will have something to show soon,” said Rockstar Games in a statement released on their website. “It’s hard to be precise as we have no power whatsoever in our New York office. We hope everyone else in affected areas is doing okay.”
But the studio did not leave fans hanging: they confirmed that GTA V preorders will be accepted starting November 5. Leaked images are showcasing some of the preorder goodies, including a keychain viewer that holds images of various locations throughout the fictional metropolis of Los Santos, including Zancudo River and Vinewood Hills.
There may also be pre-order artwork, featuring some of the citizens (or denizens) of Los Santos; images have been leaked but not confirmed.

EDIT: Update, 11/2/12, 9:34pm — So, remember when I said pre-orders start November 5? Yeah, how about right now. According to Examiner.com, street date on pre-orders was broken by Amazon.com on Thursday, and today Best Buy and GameStop followed suit. We can now confirm preorder goodies indeed consist of the keychain (the small black box below) and a poster. Thanks to GotGamer Devon Ellis of Los Santos… er… I mean, Los Angeles, CA for the photo.
