Revamped PlayStation Store Goes Live in North America

Following teething troubles with the store revamp in Europe, Sony has finally released the new-look store in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. The long awaited update was supposed to have gone live on October 23rd, but the initial release in Europe had so many problems that Sony decided to wait until now.

This is the second time that the PlayStation store has received a new design, and while the store looks better than it ever has before, users will find that there is much more to it than just new looks. If you dig a little deeper you will find that the store now gives gamers access to many more filters, most popular charts, an enhanced search engine, and video streaming on individual item pages.

The re-design to the PlayStation Store is a welcome addition to the PSN, but what do you guys think? Is it a big improvement or do you think it needs more to be compete with other platforms?
