Namco Bandai Sees Profits Increase

Namco Bandai reported an operating income of $345.88 million for the first half of fiscal year 2013.

This is a 176 percent increase from last year. However, when you look at just the Content Business area, which is what software development is under for the company, it saw a 375 percent increase from last year.

Specifically, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 sold 840,000 units in both Japan and Europe, and wasn’t out yet in North America before the results were reported. Soul Calibur 5 sold 1.38 million units overall.
