Ouya Now Using Jelly Bean OS

Ever since the Ouya Kickstarter ended, news on the Android system has been quiet.

However, a few pieces of information have been announced today. First up, the system will now use the Jelly Bean OS. Originally, it was going to be using the Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

Meanwhile, developers can start working on games now for the system by using the Tegra 3 system, which the console will use. However, a few differences, like the controller and lack of push notifications, will have to be factored in.

The Ouya is expected to start shipping development kits in December.
