Tim Schafer Performing at Umloud

The fourth annual Ümloud event will feature Tim Schafter as Master of Ceremonies.

The event is a fundraiser for Child’s Play and is hosted out in San Francisco at DNA Lounge. It features dozens of bands playing Rock Band 3 on a live stage.

“We are thrilled to have none other than Tim Schafer as our honorary MC for this year’s Ümloud!,” said Joe Markert, Chief Operating Officer of Ümloud!. “No one embodies the spirit of fun and giving that is the core of the event better than Tim. Plus, we have a feeling there may be a few Tim Schafer groupies out there that will be glad to hear the news!”

Tickets for the event are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. They can be purchased at DNA Lounge’s website. A few packages are also left to let groups perform on stage.

“Everyone knows gamers have big hearts—and that’s not just because of the sedentary lives many of us live,” says Tim Schafer, President and CEO of Double Fine Productions. “It’s because we understand the value of community, of giving back, and Ümloud! is the perfect way to have a rockin’ evening while supporting Child Play’s noble efforts in taking care of the next generation of gamers.”
