According to the keen eyes of Neowin, the new Xbox 360 dashboard update has gotten rid of the Facebook and Twitter apps, for those who didn’t previously download them.

The two apps launched back in 2009 and with this week’s dashboard update rollout, they both have been removed from the apps store found on Xbox Live.

One of the bigger additions however has been Internet Explorer, so perhaps with IE being able to visit both sites, Microsoft felt the separate apps weren’t necessary; that is however just a thought, so who knows.
