Apple Denied Overturning Court Ruling
Today is a day of celebration my friends, for a victory has been won against the iOverlords. Apple, who has been vehemently calling Samsung a “copycat” for years now is finally being told to shut up once and for all. The Cupertino company, who thinks that they have a patent on rectangles with round edges, was denied having a court ruling overturned. Said court ruling forces Apple to publicly apologize to Samsung on it’s EU websites as well as select British newspapers and magazines for a whole month. Said apology has to be no smaller than a 14 font size and must be in a Helvetica font.
While the war with Apple has not yet been one, this is a significant victory for the technology industry. Apple is not the sole owner of the idea of the tablet PC, neither are they the sole patent owners of rectangles with squares or smart phones, or what have you. They have no write to infringe on a person or company’s creative rights or try to stifle said creativity with their outlandish claims and lawsuits.

i don’t think anyone who’s rooting for google should be celebrating today they aren’t doing so hot in the earnings department i also think the “overlord” label applies quite better to google then to apple who just sells really popular products that yes everyone likes to copy.
Google’s stock only dropped 9% and just because their earnings are down does not mean much. The media is blowing that whole thing out of proportion. Also, I really hope you’re not saying that Apple has a right to think that they own the idea of rectangles with round edges because that’s basically what the iPad is. And actually Apple is copying of of Microsoft, if you recal back in early 2000 Microsoft showed of it’s PC tablet WELL before the iPad came out. 🙂 True stuff.
the reason it dropped is that average CPC are down 15% which indicates a shift to mobile away from desktop which so far Google has been unable to monetize effectively even with android. I’m not making any kind of comment towards Apple patent (the patent war is not something you can lay all the blame for on apple anyway imo) I’m simply commenting on the fact that everyone loves copying apple. You can’t say that apple copied microsoft just because they both tried to sell something called a tablet thats not what made it successful what made it successful is the OS which other companies are still trying to copy in the same way windows copies Mac os.
but the larger point i have is with the comment about apple being an overlord that description seems to me to be way more apt when referring to google since they pretty much have a monopoly on personal information and the web in general at least the desktop web.
I love a good battle. Apple fanboy VS Droid fanboy….ROUND ONE…..FIGHT!!
I want a good clean fight…now let’s get it on!
