Wii U Playable In NYC… Sorta

Are you a Nintendo fan?  Do you live in NYC?  Do you want to try out the Wii U?  Great!  You’re sort of in luck.  At the Nintendo World Store in Rockefeller enter, Nintendo has done away with all of their old Wii hands on demo stations and replaced them with Wii U demo stations.  Sounds great, right?  Well, unfortunately the only game that you can play on these demo stations is Rayman Legends.  No offense to Rayman, which looks awesome, but I was disappointed that more games weren’t available.

In addition to a playable Rayman demo, fans could also check out videos about upcoming Wii U titles like New Super Mario Bros U, Wonderful 101, Scribblenauts Unlimited and Zombi U.  Nintendo representatives told me to check back in a few weeks for more hands on experiences.

So, it’s not quite the Wii U hands on experience you’ve been waiting for, but if you happen to be in the NYC area, you can at least check out the feel of the controller and play some Rayman Legends.  We’ll keep NYC gamers posted if and when a proper demo station is available.
