Microsoft Finally Unveils the Xbox Live Rewards Program

Finally!!!! Microsoft has unveiled the Xbox 720… Oh, we are talking about Microsoft introducing the “Xbox Live Rewards Program?” Hey, that´s not a bad idea.

Microsoft plans to offer discounts and gifts to gamers, based on gamerscore. If you have a Gamerscore of over 25,000, you’ll get a 2 percent rebate on Xbox Live purchases. Gold members with more than 10,000 achievement points get 1 percent off. If you have at least a gamerscore if over 3,000, you’ll get a gift for your birthday. However, it does take up to four days sometimes for your rewards to update on the Xbox website so don´t freak out if you don´t see them immediately.

There will also be Reward points that can be earned for doing little things like renewing Gold Subscriptions, using Netflix, doing monthly Xbox surveys, and many more things. These “reward points” turn into Microsoft Points that are placed into your account by the 15th of every month.

The current form of the offer runs through June of 2013 and all you have to do is go to this website: rewards.xbox.com and sign up. If you already have Xbox.com setup is really easy, you just click a few buttons and presto. It does take up to a day and a half for you to get official instructions for them to register you though.
