The hype for Capcom’s new survival horror shooter is rising, and as fans have tried out the new demo on XBox LIVE and Playstation Network, PC gamers have felt a bit left out in the cold. Well, bundle up, PC devotees, because it gets worse…PC release of the game may not happen until as late as next year.

Horror fansite Rely on Horror posted a quote from Capcom VP Christian Svensson about his feelings on the PC release of RE6, which he definitely wants to take his time with.

Projects like this you guys seem to think are ‘trivial,’ but they are not. When they get treated as trivial, you end up with Resident Evil 4 PC, which I don’t think too many true fans were pleased with.

Whatever way you look at it, that means it’s going to take a while for the game to hit for hit the PC market. Steam’s got a projected release date as late as 2013…think it’s worth the wait?
