Google Celebrating 25 Billion Android Apps Downloaded

It’s only been four short years since Android reared it’s Linux based teeth at the domineering iOS brought about by Apple the previous year and boy has a lot happened in those 4 years. Least of which is the numerous Android apps downloaded first in the Android Marketplace and now in the Google Play Store. That number of apps downloaded has reached far into the billions today, to be exact 25 Billion.

To celebrate, Google has a few deals going on over the next five days to keep that number climbing. First off certain Android apps will be only 25 cents instead of their normal price. If only that price were the norm, but I digress. Google will also be offering collections of 25 such as 25 movies you have to own, Google’s 25 top selling magazines, 25 banned books, etc.

That is what I like to call a “crapload” of downloads.
