Speaking to GamerLive.TV, 2K Sports’ Ben Bishop revealed some added gameplay elements to the Wii U version of NBA 2K13. While gamers can obviously expect to do things like calling plays, sifting through menus and the like on the Gamepad, 2K Sports is looking to do just a little bit more with the game.
If you lift the Gamepad up to the screen, you’ll get to see a sort of thermal gameplay image of the screen that tells you how each player is doing. Whether they’re hot or cold, tired or not, players will be able to get this information on the fly, which certainly could help with tactics and substitution decisions.
NBA 2K 13 will hit the Wii U during their launch window, while the PS3, PC and Xbox 360 versions will arrive on Oct. 2.
