Happy Tuesday GotGamers.  In an effort to brighten up your day, I’d like to bring you some awesome music from the world of video games.  For your listening pleasure, I submit this selection from the game Sonic Colors.

In the not so proud tradition of Sonic games, Sonic Colors featured a cheesy title track with some incredibly cringe worthy lyrics.  The song, entitled “Reach For The Stars” is a pretty awful song. Well, the original version of Reach For The Stars is an awful song.  Reach For The Stars makes a return as Sonic fights the final boss of the game.  The song comes back in an orchestrated version without all of the awful lyrics.  The resulting track is absolutely epic and stands as one of the finest examples of video game music that you’ll find in this console generation.  For those of you who haven’t played Sonic Colors, take a listen to this extraordinary piece of gaming music.

If this doesn’t inspire you to kick some Eggman ass, I don’t know what will.
