So it appears that Apple is going to have even more problems on the biggest day of it’s fiscal year. French employees of the Apple Stores are quite unhappy with how things are run dear readers. They want water fountains, and food vouchers, and an extra month of pay which is apparently common amongst French companies. Oh the horror dear readers, they must REALLY have it bad.
Seriously though, I understand that cultures are different and so business practices would be as well but Apple is a Chinese an American company for one and an extra month’s pay? Really? And I thought we were privileged over here in the states.
The disgruntled employees are represented by a union called SUD and the head, Thomas Bordage, has a plan of action:
We’re inviting all the employees who consider insufficient the advances made as part of annual labor negotiations and think Apple isn’t showing enough of an interest in its French employees to join us tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. in front of the Opera Apple Store
Yeah, Apple probably isn’t showing enough interest in it’s French employees. I think that’s secretly because they’re having a love affair with the American ones. Seriously, do you know how CHIPPER those employees are? Geebus.
Will this strike hinder iPhone 5 sales? It might lose Apple some money on day one but unless a few more countries join in Apple will probably only see this as a minor annoyance.
