Microsoft Renews Killer Instinct Trademarks
In a move sure to get fans in an uproar, Microsoft has apparently renewed the trademarks for Killer Instinct. The news, revealed through PlayXBLA, was accompanied with the following statement:
Our legal eagles have authorized us to say: “We have either renewed or refiled a trademark application in various jurisdictions.” That’s it! Have a good Monday!
What do you think? Will this eventually lead to a Killer Instinct HD remake? Perhaps the elusive KI3? Which would you prefer? Of course all of this could just be Microsoft protecting their investment, and until anything is announced should be taken as pure speculation.

holy shit!
Hell yeah! Now let’s put that bad boy to good use.
Wha…Wha..Whaaaaaaat?! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really hope they do something with this.
i was really sad yesterday when @jumblejunkie informed me that microsoft always owned that franchise in my mind that should be a nintendo title.
it was Nintendo. Until Microsoft purchased Rare all those years ago.
yeah once again i just prove how out of the loop i am. All i remember about Rare is that they were the producers of so many of Nintendo’s classic titles and that they were brittish. Very sad to me that microsoft now controls their destiny microsoft can’t do anything right IMO.
