You all may recall the City of Steam contest we held here awhile back. A lot of you participated and got keys, and even more people across the globe participated in the Alpha weekends. Just how many people participated? Over 17,500 keys were activated, what an incredible number for an indie game developer. Now, it’s time to move on to the Beta stage.
Ever since the end of the Alpha test, Mechanist has been working hard to make the game even better. Smoothing out character movement and animation and improving graphics are some of what the team has been fixing so far. Developer Journals have also been posted on the game’s site to keep supporters in the loop of things until the Beta is launched.
Speaking of the Beta launch, this will occur some time in November. More details will come in the twice a month newsletter that you can sign up for on the City of Steam website. You can gain guaranteed access to the closed beta if you purchase a Beta supporter pack, no news yet of when these will come out.
