Nintendo has never been one for lavish preorder bonuses, but it seems that they’re slowly warming up to the concept.  Folks who preorder Pokemon Black and White 2 will gain access to the exclusive Pokemon Genesect to use in the game.

Genesect is an ancient Pokemon revived and modified by Team Plasma.  It has an interesting typing, Bug/Steel, which leaves it with only one very big weakness, fire, and a good deal of resistances.  In addition, it has decent speed, great attack and special attack, and is the only Pokemon that could learn the move Techno Blast.  Techno Blast may not be a very good move, but it’s still kind of near I guess.

Pokemon Black and White 2 will be released on October 7th in the US, and players who preorder will be able to collect their very own Genesect between October 7th and November 12th.  Black and White 2 take place in the Unova region, and shows the aftermath of the events that took place in Pokemon Black and White.  The game is available at all major game retailers in the US.
