It struck me as very weird that Nintendo did not announce a price, release date, or SKUs at E3 or Gamescom. So, I guess it is left to us media people to help uncover things for the general public. According to Destructoid, an online supplier listing has Nintendo launching its new system on November 11.
The same listing also reveals three separate models, though we have no idea what the differences are between them, other than the price. It does seem that the bump in price for the last SKU listed may mean there could be special features with it, as well as a game bundled with the Wii U system.
WII U SYSTEM 11/11/12 $249.99
WII U SYSTEM W/ a GM 11/11/12 $299.99
WII U SYSTEM 349 W/ a GM 11/11/12 $349.99
The information comes from Video Products Distributors, an American outlet that brings products to Amazon, Newegg, and Blockbuster.
This is all speculation of course, so this may prove to be untrue. However, do not be surprised to see a price point similar to this listing when Nintendo does reveal all of this important information some time in the upcoming months.
