Square Enix Announces Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Collection, Currently Japan Only

Square Enix has been doing a lot for the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy, and one of their biggest announcements comes as a box set. Imagine, owning all the non-sequel canon FF games in one set….well, you can imagine that, but right now only if you’re in Japan.

According to DarkZero, Square Enix will be releasing a box-set for Final Fantasy in December. The list of games is as follows:

  • Final Fantasy (PS one, 1 disc)
  • Final Fantasy II (PS one, 1 disc)
  • Final Fantasy III (PSP, 1 disc)
  • Final Fantasy IV (PS one, 1 disc)
  • Final Fantasy V (PS one, 1 disc)
  • Final Fantasy VI (PS one, 1 disc)
  • Final Fantasy VII International (PS one, 4 discs)
  • Final Fantasy VIII (PS one, 4 discs)
  • Final Fantasy IX (PS one, 4 discs)
  • Final Fantasy X (PlayStation 2, 1 disc)
  • Final Fantasy XI Vana Del Collection 2 (PlayStation 2, 1 disc)
  • Final Fantasy XII (PlayStation 2, 1 disc)
  • Final Fantasy XIII (PlayStation 3, 1 disc)

The package also comes with special bonuses: an anniversary video disc, 2-disc selected works soundtrack, a CrystalWorks anniversary art collection, an item code for Mogu Mogu earrings in Final Fantasy XIV, and a mini-replica of the Amano Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Visual and Stand. Right now there’s no word of a European or US release. If you’re looking to pick it up, consider the asking price: 280 British pounds, or around $450 US. Still, quite the collection.
