Valve Allows Players to GIve Games on Steam the Greenlight
Steam is basically the powerhouse of the PC gaming world, with tons of games from all sorts of different genres being present on the platform. Now you’ll be able to be part of the process that chooses what games are featured on Steam with the new crowdsourcing submission program, “Steam Greenlight.”
Greenlight will allow developers and publishers to raise excitement for their games by giving information to gamers ahead of the release date, letting gamers pick what games they want to see show up later on in the year. Valve’s Anna Sweet was excited about the platform’s expansion, saying:
We’ve been working on this feature for the last few months with the input from a group of indie partners, and the response has been extremely positive. With the additional help of beta testers, we are able to launch with a solid line-up of titles for the community to start viewing and rating. And, as we’ve done with all Steam features, we intend to continually grow and modify Greenlight as more and more developers and community members have a chance to get involved.”
