PS4 To Support 4K Resolution?

You may have just bought that shiny new 1080p TV, but the next wave is already upon us.  The newest thing is 4K TVs.  4K TVs offer a resolution of approximately 4000×2000 (there is no universal standard yet) and will blow that new 1080p TV out of the water. The great news is that you’ll be able to enjoy all of this resolution with your PS4, which will be capable of displaying content in all of its 4K glory.

In reality, this will likely be a useless feature.  4K resolution only offers a tangible benefit when blown up to movie screen sizes, and to a lesser extent with 3D content, and unless your TV is around the 80″ mark, you won’t notice much of a difference.  The likelihood of native 4K games becoming popular in the future is unlikely.  But hey, it’s better to be safe than sorry, and if 4K catches on, Sony will be ready.

You’d be a pimp rocking a PS4 on something like a 70 or 80-inch 4K TV. In fact, I’d probably come over your house and kick you out.

I wonder how much that TV in the picture costs?

4K TVS will be available soon! They range in prices, but you’re looking at at least 10K, probably more like 20K. And, there is no 4K content yet.

That’s a chunk of change for one of those TVs, lol.
