Nintendo’s ready to talk about the Wii U; they’ve been talking AROUND it for the past few months, but as we get closer to the assumed launch window they’re starting to drop information. September 13th marks the date that Nintendo will have a special press conference in NYC to talk up the new hardware.
Tech site Digital Spy reports that various press outlets are receiving invitations to this event in New York City where Reggie Fils-Aime will be discussing the Wii U. Though there’s no explicit statement in the invitations that pricing or a release date will be set, Nintendo hosted a similar conference last year in anticipation of the release of the 3DS and announced both pieces of information for it at that time.
Sorry for you European folks; it’s also reported that though there was a conference in Amsterdam for the 3DS, there will be no such European conference for the Wii U.
