Over at Gamescom, Sony has announced that they will allow players, who purchase costumes for LittleBigPlanet and LBP2, to port them over to LittleBigPlanet for the PS Vita and LittleBigPlanet Karting at no extra cost.

To clear things up, Sony added that once you purchase a costume once, you’ll have access to it across the entire LBP universe, which obviously means if you buy a costume from LBP Karting, you’ll be able to use it on say, LittleBigPlanet 2.  That’s great news for folks, like me, and probably everyone and their mommas, who hate having to buy something more than once.

Sony did however state that it will take some time to get all the costumes to be compatible for all games:

*Here’s the fine print: There are a heck of a lot of costumes and it’s going to take us a little while to get them all tailored, pressed, and packaged up. You will get some at launch and then we’ll be adding the rest later on, but rest assured you will get them!

So be patient!  Unfortunately the Ezio Auditore Costume and Hessian Sackboy Fragrances will not be usable at this time though, but hey, at least you get to use everything else.
