While users have been able to visit YouTube using the PS3’s web browser, there has been no app available as there is on the Xbox 360.

Well finally that has all changed today as Sony announced via their PlayStation Blog that the YouTube is now available on the console.

The app will feature the Search bar for quickly finding your favorite videos, as well as showcase your subscribed channels, assuming you’ve logged into your YouTube account.

In addition, you’ll actually be able to use your phone as a remote control, after you pair it, which also lets you find videos on your phone and have them play on your TV…pretty cool, ey?

Not a bad little set of features, considering PS3 users had to wait a pretty long time to get it.
