JDL: Back from Florida.
Chris: Took you long enough.
JDL: But I brought you some Mickey Mouse ears, a snow-globe, a coupon to Chick-Fil-A and a cookbook signed by Paula Deen!
Chris: Is she even FROM Florida?
JDL: She’s from the South, I know that damn much.
(beat)
Chris: Works for me. Let’s hit it!
Xbox Live Gets Real!
says: Our overlord Ramon Aranda right here at Got Game (Thumbs up, cheap pop!)

Chris: We’re cannabilizing posts now?
JDL: 20-year old Kevin Kemp was attacked by a friend over a round of games.
“We were just talking over headsets,” Kemp told CBS Sacramento, before adding that things got heated quickly, not even having to do with the game that was being played.
“I’m like, ‘Bro, if want to do this, come over to my house and we’ll do this right now,’” Kemp admitted.
Chris: Ask and ye shall recieve! A gun and knife, Solid Snake style!
JDL: The dude’s so called “friend” stormed in past Kemp’s own family member and attempted to shoot at Kemp, before stabbing him — 22 times.
Chris: Killing spree!
JDL: Kemp said, “[He] Walks up to my room and he points the gun right at me and takes out the clip and shows his bullet, puts it back in the gun, tries to shoot me and he shot it and it went right past my head. Almost hit me.”
Kemp is inexplicably OK, having received what must be a hell of a lot of stitches. Kemp’s former friend will be charged with burglary and two counts of attempted murder as an adult.
Chris: Damn, what else did this Kemp guy say to earn such a stomping?
JDL: He must’ve said his mom smelled like boiled quarters.
Paul Dini Not Coming Back For Arkham Prequel
says: 411mania

JDL: Digital Spy reports that Paul Dini, who was the main writer for Arkham Asylum and Arkham City won’t be involved in an Arkham prequel game set to take place during the Silver Age and involving the Justice League. Dini said this via Twitter: “Kinda hoped I’d be doing another Arkham game in London during the Olympics. Esp, as I had a good source for tx. Ah, well.”
Chris: Dini also said this via Livejournal (really, Dini? LJ?): “Naturally as there was such a rush of interest about Arkham City, everyone was asking me about a third game, and frankly, I had been wondering about that myself. When I asked about the possibility of working on a third game I was told that as Rocksteady had just finished wrapping the second one, it would be a while before everyone was ready to sit down and discuss future plans. That said, it was intimated that for future games, Warner and Rocksteady might not be looking as much to freelance writers, the message being, that if had something else interesting coming my way, I might want to take it.”
“When I later read their subsequent announcements about the Harley Quinn’s Revenge game expansion and the rumored Arkham prequel/JLA game, I figured they had filled their writer needs. I had long before taken WI’s advice and booked my schedule with a number of other projects, leaving me unavailable to take on anything new until 2013. It was fun working with Warners and Rocksteady on the first two Arkham games and I am grateful to them both for a tremendous experience. Rocksteady has a great crew of artists and storytellers, and it was exciting and enlightening for me to be part of that team. If we wind up working together again at some point, that would be cool, too.”
JDL: Talk about a wall of text! Frankly, if it’s a game with the Justice League, I think the game isn’t in any trouble.
Chris: Yeah, but a talent like Dini could take this game and put it over the top, baby!
JDL: As long as it’s got Mark Hamill again, I’ll take 10 copies of Arkham Begins or whatever they’ll call it.
Chris: Where are you going now?
JDL: To play Shin Megami Tensei.
Chris: Fine, fine. I’m off to play some Street Fighter X Tekken.
JDL: See you back here tomorrow?
Chris: I won’t get my hopes up.

If I can’t play as any Justice League members in the new Arkham prequel, then I will be a sad panda.
