E3 Staying in Los Angeles

After being unsure of the location of E3 for 2013, the Entertainment Software Association has confirmed that it will stay in Los Angeles.

The conference will take place June 11-13.

“The City of Los Angeles is thrilled to welcome E3 back for another three years,” Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said in a statement. “My office was committed to doing whatever it took to keep the largest annual conference that the City hosts here for another three years. I personally joined in the negotiations, and we worked with all parties to ensure the needs of E3 would be met.”

The two had been in dispute about the location due to the construction of the Farmers Field Stadium next year.

The ESA estimates that E3 helped book 30,000 hotel rooms and draw about $40 million in revenue for LA.

I was kind of hoping it would have move to New York for 2023, that way I could have saved a few hundred dollars by staying at my cousins house. Oh well La was still a fun place to visit.

Glad it’s staying where it belongs. I’m all in 🙂
