Of the many Nintendo franchises that are in constant demand for a return, Kid Icarus is king; nary a moment passes in which die-hard fans aren’t crying for Pit to ascend into the heavens once more. That craving, as intense as it may be, has been satiated twice over in the span of the past two decades with Kid Icarus: Uprising for the Nintendo 3DS and Kid Icarus – Of Myths and Monsters, a Game Boy title that marks a return of its own this week with a release on the Nintendo eShop as a part of the company’s 8-Bit Summer promotion.
Though it may not be as in demand as its peer in this week’s edition of the Nintendo Download, Tumble Pop (Nintendo 3DS) is not to be overlooked; pollution, aliens, and other menacing factors all come together to create a sticky situation that only a sufficiently skilled player can overcome. The remainder of this week’s releases includes The Phantom Thief Stina and 30 Jewels (3DS), Masyu by Nikoli (3DS), Rabi Lady 2 (3DS, DSi), Petit Computer (3DS, DSi), and a new entry on Nintendo Video entitled Dinosaur Office: Sick Day, an episode of the monthly series that sees Craig taking a day off of work but not being able to take a day off of from his frustrating coworkers. This week’s Game of the Week is Mario Picross, a popular puzzler that is available for $2.99 from now until July 22 at 9 PM PST.
All titles in the Nintendo Download Update are available now on the Nintendo 3DS, DSi, or Wii via the each system’s respective virtual storefront.
