Harmonix just announced this morning that Rock Band Blitz, the upcoming downloadable title (which won our Best of E3 2012 award for music game), will be releasing on the PlayStation Network on Aug. 28, while the Xbox Live Arcade version will be ready on Aug. 29.

The game, which will be sold for $15, will include over 20 tracks, which include, “So Far Away” (Avenged Sevenfold), “We Are Young” (Fun), “Jungle Boogie” (Kool & The Gang), and “Sing” (Chemical Romance).  This will also include tracks that downloaded from the previous three Rock Band games!

In addition, Harmonix confirmed that any song from Blitz, will be playable immediately on Rock Band 3, without the need to export.
