When Mass Effect 3 ended, it was widely believed that so too did the story of Commander Shepard. Then, when Mass Effect 3 ended again as a free, downloadable bonus, it was widely believed that so too did the story of Commander Shepard. In both cases, the beliefs of those who have completed the game appear to be wrong as Mass Effect Producer Mike Gamble revealed at Comic-Con Bioware’s intention to continue the focus on Shepard in the game’s upcoming single-player DLC.

Up to this point, most of the downloadable content for Mass Effect 3 has focused on the game’s mutliplayer offering. As this statement reveals, Bioware will soon be shifting its focus from that front to one more in line with the title’s strength as a single player action blockbuster; however, it appears that the focus on Shepard will continue on uninhibited until further advances are made in the franchise beyond its latest release.
