Silent Hill: It Just Got Real (at Universal Studios)

Looking for an opportunity to run screaming for your life from flesh-devouring monsters? Look no further than Florida. Florida seems to be pioneering zombie madness as of late…but just in case running from Bath Salts-addled, drug-crazed people-eaters isn’t your thing, Universal Studios can offer you a video-game themed alternative: Silent Hill at Halloween Horror Nights.

Both Universal Studios Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood will be introducing Silent Hill-themed horror mazes, filled with “scareactors” meant to create a terrifying experience. Careen Yapp, Vice President Acquisitions and Franchise Development of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., says that they’re “giving fans the next evolution of terror” by creating a real-world Silent Hill experience. This is taking place just in time to promote the upcoming movie based on the franchise, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D. The original film made over $100 million worldwide, and it looks like Universal is looking to expand the success of the films with this new tie-in.

September 21st – October 31st…select nights during that period you’ll need to be on the look-out for demented nurses and other chilling monsters at Universal Studios. “Silent Hill: Revelation 3D” releases October 26, 2012 in theaters nationwide.
