Sony Planning New Slim PS3 Model?

According Portuguese website Techoblog, Anatel (the Brazilian FCC) Sony has registered 3 new models. The new models will be similar but with different hard drive capacity. The new hard drive sizes will come in 500, 250, and 16gb. The latter is seems to be a mystery as to why sony would want a 16gb console. Rumors are that it will be going after Microsoft’s 4gb 360. Which could also mean that a price drop is coming soon.

Thankfully, Gamescom is right around the corner so any rumors will either be put to rest or have light shown on it next month.
