Formula One racing is big overseas. The same can not be said for the sport’s presence in America, a country in which its impact is so minimal that it might best be compared to the audible effect of a pen dropping in a nightclub. Codemasters Racing, the studio from which all of the league’s titles emanate, recently announced their attempt to help Formula One extend its appeal to a mainstream audience with F1 Race Stars.
While their typical releases tend to focus on the realism of Formula One, F1 Race Stars offers a fun, fast, and more arcade-oriented take on the sport. Lighthearted nature aside, the game provides players with official cars, teams, and circuits altered only for the benefit of the title’s large-than-life perspective.
F1 Race Stars takes the world of Formula One in a new direction on the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 this November, but an early sample of the finished product can be seen now in the debut trailer available on the game’s official website.
