Nintendo has today revealed new info about the World Tournament mode in Pokemon Black Version 2 and Pokemon White Version 2, which releases on Oct. 7.

The game will once again put players in the Unova region in an all new adventure that takes place two years after the events of the first games.

The new mode will include a battle arena in which players will take on various Gym Leaders and Champions from past Pokemon Games such as Lance (Johto Region) and Volkner (Sinnoh Region).  Additionally, players can also take part in a challenge where they’re tasked with beating all the Pokemon World Tournament opponents consecutively in order to attain victory.  Battles will include single, double, triple and rotational battles.

The game will also use the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection to take part in the Pokemon Company International’s choosing of top players from the 2012 Pokemon Video Game World Championships and offer them up as opponents for battle.
