When it comes to movies for guys, men like guns and stuff that blows up.
This is why the 2010 film The Expendables did so well. The storyline? Not so much. Character development? Who needs it! It had tough guys with guns and stuff that blew up. And that is why it pulled in a worldwide gross of roughly a quarter of a billion dollars.
Such is the tactic that The Expendables 2 is working with, and now Ubisoft has announced that you, too, can have guns and blow stuff up in the tie-in video game The Expendables 2. The downloadable title for PlayStation Network, XBox LIVE, and on PC, will team players up with four of the characters from the film franchise: Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Gunner Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), Hale Caesar (Terry Crews), and Yin Yang (Jet Li).
Set in the time frame between the first and second Expendables, your goal is to track down a very valuable kidnapped billionaire. During this pursuit, you will have access to guns, and be able to blow stuff up with up to three other players online or oncouch. The events in the game lead up to where The Expendables 2 is planned to start, so players who play the game will have a bit of advance knowledge as to what waits for them in theatres.
Fans can download the game and begin blowing stuff up later this summer.
