Diablo 3 Real-Money Auction House Needs Authenticator
Gamers that want to use real-money in the auction house in Diablo 3 will need to do one extra step before doing so as an “added layer of account protection,” according to Battle.net’s Meozeldian.
An authenticator will need to be used for anyone to add money to their Battle.net profile. The authenticator can be bought for $6.50 for a physical version, or downloaded free as a mobile app.
The authenticator has been suggested before as another step to prevent hacking, but this is the first game to actually require its use.
