Last year, Project Gaems released the G155 personal gaming environment for the gamer on the go.
The inside of the hard case featured a cushion to put the 360 or PS3 Slim in, a 15.5″ HD TV and all the connections needed to game.
Now, Project Gaems is set to announce the next version of the G155, called the Sentry, which has been licensed by Microsoft. The team showed off the more streamlined device at E3, which seems to have even more convenience for fans of LAN parties or people that travel a lot.
The two hardware bags that go around the system are bigger to allow you to store more, but the bags also breathe better so consoles won’t overheat.
The shell is now 10 times more durable, meaning an accidental drop shouldn’t be the end of the world for a 360. A lot of the access plastic from the first version was also taken out, meaning the entire thing, with console, will weigh about 15 pounds.
The team also stated that the case will be customizable too, such as decals that can be interchanged or case skins that can be added. In addition, a strap can be put on the Sentry so that gamers can put it on their shoulders, not just carry it around.
The Sentry is set to have about a $250 price point and should start being produced in mid-to-late August, with units being shipped to the U.S. in September.
