With E3 2012 still ongoing and with most of us woefully watching from home, this has been a rough week for fans of the industry to endure. Miles away, thousands of individuals are getting to play exciting new games that, for the most part, won’t even arrive in stores until the closing months of this year. This year, though, a taste of E3 will be available to the masses as a demo for LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes was released today on the Nintendo 3DS eShop as a part of the weekly Nintendo Download. While this title may be the only playable entity arriving from the company’s E3 showcase, many others found on the show floor and at Nintendo’s annual press events are featured on the eShop as downloadable trailers.
Elsewhere on the storefront, Art of Balance TOUCH! tasks owners of the 3DS with crafting sturdy, balanced stacks across 200 levels. Prince of Persia, also exclusive to the 3DS, tests players in a different way as it requires the utmost precision in tackling the iconic Prince’s original adventure. Once fatigue sets in from playing these two challenging games, players can meander over to Nintendo Video to find the latest episode of Dinosaur Office, Dinosaur Office: Bring Your Child to Work Day.
Rounding out this week’s virtual sampling are Cat Frenzy (3DS, DSi), Curling Super Championship (3DS, DSi), and The Last Blade (Wii). All titles listed here and above are now available through either the Nintendo 3DS eShop, DSiWare, or the Nintendo Wii’s Virtual Console.
