The announcement of any kind of Mario title is a huge deal. So, the reveal of New Super Mario Bros U of course received much fan fare and really gave us a nice picture of what the Wii U can do.
The game features the same four player co-op featured in the first Wii game but with a twist a fifth player can help out the other players on the Wii U gamepad. The Wii U player can help make blocks or even cause issues for players. The fifth player enters via boost mode and can control either Mario, Luigi, Yellow Toad, Blue Toad, or Mii Characters.
Here is the Trailer:
New Super Mario Bros U is scheduled to be released in the Wii U launch window (whenever Nintendo lets us know when that window starts that is.)
