For all you out there waiting for the full release of the action/RPG hybrid Defense of the Ancients 2, Valve has released a couple more teasing pieces of information. Not only will the game definitely be free-to-play, but it will also have its own store with dedicated DotA items for purchase.
Many already suspected that Dota 2 would be free-to-play, and Valve’s confirmation of this comes alongside the announcement of the DotA Store, a venue which will contain both company and community-created content from launch. Currently, gamers can get in and play DotA 2 by purchasing the Dota 2 Early Access Bundle from the DotA Store.
Full release of Dota 2 is slated for later this year on PC.
