Earlier this week, it was announced that Mass Effect 3 would be entering yet another N7 Bounty Weekend, Operation: Shieldwall. As it turns out, the general excitement and fervor around that event won’t be all that comes to the game’s multiplayer mode this month as Mass Effect 3: Rebellion Pack arrives on May 29.

Rebellion Pack includes two new maps (Firebase Jade, a Salarian STG base on Sur’Kesh, and Firebase Goddess, a map located on the Asari homeworld, Thessia), six new characters (an Ex-Cerberus Adept, Ex-Cerberus Vanguard, a Vorcha Soldier, Vorcha Sentinel, Male Quarian Engineer, and a Male Quarian Infiltrator), and new weapons (the Cerberus Harrier, Krysae Sniper Rifle, and Reegar Carbine). Also included is a new objective that requires players to retrieve and help extract a package randomly during waves 3, 6, and 10 as well as a new gear slot that is persistent and will not change at the end of each match.

The Mass Effect 3: Rebellion Pack will be available in North America on PlayStation Network and the Xbox Live Marketplace on May 29 for free until May 29, 2014.
