Take-Two Ends FY 2012 with Loss

by on May 23, 2012

Take-Two Interactive has announced that their fiscal year 2012 revenue ended at $825.8 million.

This is down from FY 2011, which ended at $1.14 billion. Overall, the publisher reported a net loss of $108.8 million for the year.

Last year’s big hit for the company L.A. Noire shipped 5 million units, well less than the 13 million shipped by Red Dead Redemption.

The company also announced that Max Payne 3 shipped 3 million units since last week, with the PC version coming June 1.

Finally, the company expects revenues of $1.75-$1.85 billion this year behind Borderlands 2 in September, XCOM: Enemy Unknown and NBA 2K13 in October and BioShock: Infinite in February. However, the company said that there are “titles yet to be announced for fiscal 2013.” What these games could be we don’t know, but keep in mind there has been a rumor floating around of Grand Theft Auto 5 coming out later this year.
