LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, the sequel to the most successful extension of the LEGO franchise, will proudly launch as this year’s most anticipated Batman game. Of course, were it to have been launched last year, that wouldn’t have been the case. In 2011, Batman: Arkham City ruled the roost as the only game to prominently feature the Caped Crusader and, from that point forward, went on to rule many other roosts as it was widely proclaimed to be one of the year’s best titles.
In what can only be seen as a fitting, proper maneuver, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Traveller’s Tales have released a new crop of images promoting LEGO Batman 2 and, at the same time, paying tribute to the game that last year made many a nerd’s heart aflutter; the images found below depict the likenesses of Catwoman, Robin, and The Joker as LEGO characters done up in the style of Batman: Arkham City.
There isn’t a comic-book geek alive that can’t appreciate this, and, just the same, there isn’t a comic-book geek alive that will have an easy time resisting LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes when it arrives this year on June 19.
