EA and Activision have finally settled a lawsuit that began two years ago.
The lawsuit stemmed from former Infinity Ward developers Jason West and Vince Zampella being fired from Activision and quickly starting their own studio, Respawn Entertainment, and signing a deal with EA.
No details about the settlement are available, but a settlement agreement will be filed in Los Angeles’ California state court soon, the companies said.
The settlement comes the same day as a story about Activision’s “Project Icebreaker” over at Giantbomb. The project was to gather info from West and Zampella’s computers before Modern Warfare 2 launched to try and see them fired.
The story goes on to say that Activision’s George Rose wanted access to the pair’s email, voicemail and computer without anyone knowing, going as far to try and use a third-party security specialist.
