For months reports have come out citing the subscription decline of World of Warcraft. According to gamefreaks365 Activision-Blizzard announced yesterday that stability has finally arrived for the seven year-old MMORPG. Activision says WOW had 10.2 million active subscribers for the most recent quarter. Shares of Activision-Blizzard also went up on Wednesday as a result of the news.

In contrast, its closest competitor, the six month-old Star Wars: The Old Republic, lost 24 percent of its subscription base last month. After that announcement, EA´s stock has fallen nearly $2 since last week.
