Ubisoft has confirmed that Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth is real, but the console choices may surprise you.

The game is slated to come out for the Kinect and Wii U later this year. It is being developed by Ubisoft Quebec, and will let players use motions to fight off the Skrull.

“The idea that we’re making a motion-control version of ‘The Avengers’ is a unique proposition if you compare that to superhero games of the past,” said Ubisoft marketing VP Tony Key. “This is the perfect type of game for that because these characters are very action oriented. They’re always fighting and throwing things.”
